It is no coincidence that its name comes from the city of Hamburg and can be translated as 'Hamburgish'. The term later passed into colloquial English as 'Hamburger steak'. These were probably originally beef patties, very common in the city and port of Hamburg around the beginning of the 19th century. The recipe arrived in North America thanks to the many German immigrants, most of whom left from the port of this city. The real hamburger is therefore a large patty of minced and lightly pressed beef.

22 - Kebabs, Iran

Chelow kabab combines Persian kebab with saffron basmati rice, lavash bread, grilled tomatoes, raw onions, chillies, mushrooms and sumac and often a side dish of shirazi salad, mast-o-khiar and doogh. An old Iranian tradition was to break the yolk of a raw egg over rice, along with lots of butter, just before serving the kebab. Kabab barg, on the other hand, is marinated and grilled loin. Kabab torsh is grilled beef marinated in a mixture of pomegranate juice, chopped nuts, parsley, crushed garlic and olive oil. Chenjeh kabab, on the other hand, is grilled lamb.

Mexican Fajitas are small bites of meat (chicken breast or beef, or both) with peppers, onion, spices, hot chilli peppers, paprika and oregano. This preparation can be served in a variety of ways: in a hot dish accompanied by rice, beans or grilled vegetables; or placed on a tortilla that is wrapped around the fajita.
